Quality statement
Brinkers focuses on the responsible, environmental
friendly and safe production of a wide range of
chocolate spreads, using only the best ingredients and
the latest technology available, supported by a team of
totally committed employees.
This statement guarantees the ultimate quality
management procedures, ensuring the highest standards
possible. On a going basis quality checks are executed
through both internal and external audits, keeping
Brinkers’ production managers sharp and at their toes.
All ingredients used by Brinkers are purchased from
suppliers, known by their excellent reputation and
standards only. Brinkers only use the very best natural
ingredients. Every single ingredient entering Brinkers’
production area is checked and double checked on
freshness, contents and overall quality. Only after
being internally fully certified by the quality team,
the ingredients can be used.
Brinkers works under the IFS, BRC and Skal standards.
Environmental Management
Brinkers is committed to meeting the needs of customers
and consumers in an environmentally sound and
sustainable manner, through continuous improvement in
environmental performance in all our activities.
Our corporate responsibility strategy has at it's heart
environmental themes such as climate change, water,
packaging and sustainable agricultural sourcing. This
strategy also sets out our commitment to making
continuous progress in the area of eco-efficiency in
manufacturing and integrating environmental
considerations into product innovation and marketing
plans.
Equal Opportunities
It is the policy of Brinkers to recruit and employ the
best qualified personnel available and to provide equal
opportunities for the advancement of all its employees.
In practice, Brinkers seeks to recruit, hire, train, and
promote people in all job classifications without regard
to race, color, disability, age, sex, religion, national
origin, or veteran status.
While Brinkers actively follows a program of
non-discrimination in hiring, training, and promotional
practices, positive action must be taken by all involved
to ensure that equal employment opportunity remains a
fact. The Brinkers company is committed to providing
equal opportunity to all qualified employees without
regard to race, colour, religion, gender, national
origin, age, physical or mental disability, status with
regard to public assistance, membership or activity in a
local commission, status as a military veteran, or
marital status. Qualifications for employment and
promotion are based upon ability to perform the job, as
well as dependability and reliability once hired.
Health & Safety
Brinkers regards the health, safety and welfare of its
employees in the working environment as an integral
objective of its corporate policy and has therefore
formulated principles for this:
Health and safety are determined partly by the company’s
health, safety and welfare policy and practice in the
workplace, and partly by the behaviour of employees
themselves. This means that Brinkers as an employer and
its employees all have obligations in terms of health
and safety;
Careful health and safety management can only be
achieved through a decentralised systematic approach
within the company and by involving employees in the
implementation of the policy in their own areas.
Brinkers strives to make health and safety management an
indispensable part of work throughout the company;
With health and safety management, Brinkers food seeks
to achieve optimum safety for its employees, to
safeguard their physical and mental health as much as
possible and to promote their welfare;
In situations entailing acute threats, the health and
safety of people take priority over everything else;
Brinkers Food is aware that it is almost impossible to
work without any risk. However, it is possible to tackle
the source of unsafe situations through a targeted
policy, to purchase products and equipment meeting
maximum safety standards, to avoid unnecessary risks and
to keep unavoidable risks to an acceptable minimum.
Modern biotechnology and genetically modified
organisms
Over the past 15 years, considerable progress has been
made in the field of modern biotechnology and
genetically modified organisms (GMOs). The techniques
developed can contribute to the improvement of quality,
availability and nutritional values of food. They also
have the potential to increase food production and
support sustainable agricultural processes. It is
recognised, however, that many consumers, customers and
interest groups currently have reservations regarding
the use of these techniques, for environmental, ethical
or social reasons. As a result, Brinkers does not use
GMO ingredients in its products at present. Brinkers
supports the responsible use of modern biotechnology and
genetic modification techniques. Modern biotechnology (including
the use of GMOs) will only be of potential use in
products if the following conditions are met:
The safety of the product or ingredient is proven;
The product or ingredient is approved by the responsible
authority;
The product or ingredient is acceptable to the consumer
and the customer.
In order to inform consumers and customers of the
presence of GMO ingredients in Brinkers products in the
future, Brinkers supports clear, informative and fair
labelling. Brinkers companies strictly adhere to
national laws and regulations regarding labelling in
every country in which they operate.
Training and Development
Brinkers has developed a wide range of
training-programmes in order to further develop the
individual skills of its employees. These educational
programmes will be implemented on-going on both an
individual as a group exercise.
Ethical
Brinkers want to be recognised as a company of high
ethical standing. We therefore expect our employees to
live up to high standards in business ethics, and we
support national and international efforts to establish
and enforce such standards.
Social Objectives
Brinkers will be, by definition, a social employer,
rewarding its employees in a fair way, constantly aware
of national and international (European) legal
regulations in this respect.
Besides that, Brinkers will refrain from children’s
labour in both its own premises as in suppliers working
circumstances. |
